Game and Watch: Climber - Widescreen

Climber is a Game & Watch video game released in the New Wide Screen format in 1988 and Crystal Screen in 1986. The game was never released in Japan, and an estimated 250,000 of the New Wide Screen version were produced by Nintendo. The model number for the New Wide Screen game is DR-106, while for the Crystal Screen version the number is DR-802. Some speculate that the game is based on the Ice Climber NES game, though this is unconfirmed. The characters present are not the characters from Ice Climber. Unusually for Game and Watch, five different characters were used in the game.

Gameplay
In Climber, you are a kid who jumps on platforms trying to get to the very top while avoiding enemies and platforms that vanish. The objective of the game is to control Climber by jumping through a tower of platforms and landing on them, and by avoiding monsters and blockmen. The goal is to either grab Hentori the bird or slash Dragalo the dragon, making highest score possible. Both versions of the game were essentially the same with only minor differences.

Trivia
There's a cheat in the game where if you press the jump button while also pressing the GAME button, you'll be transported directly to the sixth level.

Very rare, as only 250,000 were manufactured. Occasionally seen on Ebay, especially boxed versions.
